Journalctl -B log on pastebin. I chose OpenOffice from the AUR as a backup.

1. is this LO still or fresh? Does it matter?
2. Is there output on the shell when running libreoffice?
3. Does "libreoffice --safe-mode" work?
4. Does it leave a https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Core_d … _core_dump ?
5. What SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN do you use?

6. Does it work w/o HW aceleration?

I use libreoffice fresh. The shell output is the double free detected in tcache 2 like in journalctl. There are no coredumps. Turning off hardware acceleration does not help. I tried switching the sal use vcplugin variable to gtk3 but it still crashes. And safe mode still has this issue. It only happens on my thinkpad.

I know the problem. Kernel "6.9.1-arch1-2" causes libreoffice to crash when entering datatables.
Edit: switched to LTS kernel. Problem is still there ![]()

Know because of what?
Does LO-still work?
Does it happen w/ a fresh user account (ie. w/o any of your present userspecific configs)?
You could try to run LO in gdb, nb. that "libreoffice" is a script and you'll have to inject gdm there - running the script in GDB won't do what you want.

You can close this topic now. The problem was solved on it's own.

Mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.

The problem is still there in Impress. Trying to edit a data table crashes LO directly.

Sorry, that is libreoffice-still 7.6.7-1. It also happens in Safe mode with a new document.

The problem is solved in libreoffice-fresh 24.2.4-2.
