Re: sd reader does not work

Is that the entire output?
The resets are suspiciously frequent at ~15s.

What do you get for "lsblk -f" after attaching the device?

Re: sd reader does not work

Well, sda1 shows up. What if you just mount it?

Re: sd reader does not work

Please don't paraphrase, https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=57855
You'll either mount the drive or you'll get an error that it didn't work (and why) - "does nothing with no output" isn't an option here and "no output" from "mount …" generally means it just worked.
=> updated lsblk?

just gave me this output:
mount: /SD: can't read superblock on /dev/sda1.
dmesg(1) may have more information after failed mount system call.

Re: sd reader does not work

Please don't bump - edit your previous post if nobody has yet replied.

Then check your dmesg tail.
"stuck" means there were likely some IO errors.

Have you tried to attach the reader to a different usb port?
Does the SD card work in a different system?
Does the SD card work in this card reader, but attached to a different system?

Re: sd reader does not work

Again: please dont bump.

Is this an internal cardreader? If it's an external one, have you tried to plug it into another computer and read the card there?

[ 1855.948761] exFAT-fs (sda1): Volume was not properly unmounted. Some data may be corrupt. Please run fsck.

The reader resets every 15-16s, that's not random.
Does it work on the rescue.target (2nd link below)?
Does it work if you log in as different user?

Please post your complete system journal for the boot:

sudo journalctl -b | curl -F 'file=@-' 0x0.st
