I was doing a
pacman -S gnome alsa-lib alsa-oss alsa-util gnome-extras
after a fresh install, and while installing Vimo(or something) it was at 99% and my comp restarted, and now it comes up as a kernel panick. Please help

get the install disk and chroot into your box. Firstly, reinstall your kernel then reinstall those packages you were trying before it rebooted.

I found out how to fix it, in grub, i changed initrd26.img to kernel26.img
Now, i want to edit it so i don't have to everytime i start up.

On my laptop, it exists in /etc as a symlink, but I cannot recall whether I put it there or it was there already.
