hi,
I am experiencing a very similar issue to this topic. When I plug in my ethernet cable, the internet connection stops working and i can't run any commands in the terminal. The terminal always just hangs until i force restart the computer. Just the 2 days ago it was working fine. I'm not sure when or why it started either. The problem is the solution to that topic doesn't work for me. The uefi setting that is mentioned is already disabled, so I cant change that. Also when I run "nmcli radio wifi off", it does not cause the issue like it did for the other author.
Also, randomly this issue will not happen for a few minutes. I have not been able to find out when or why the issue goes away, but it always seems to come back.
Also, if the ethernet cable is plugged in on startup, it will work fine but as soon as I unplug, the wifi switches on, then I plug it back in, the issue comes back.
My system is a lenovo thinkpad t490.
network cards I see when I run "lspci -v"

I have the same problem for many years. Today I saw a post sating that the problem is about network controller.
Here are the post: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=270704

That thread seems so have resolved in broken hardware?
The recent-ish e1000e issues fitting the OPs pattern were a thing recent-ish (not "many years") but also seem fixed w/ some 6.9 kernel?
