switching default shell from bahs to zsh no window manager

I tried to switch my default shell to zsh with chsh but when i rebooted and logged in it did not start wdm and instead js remained on the zsh shell

What is wdm?  Is that a typo for dwm?  How were you starting wdm/dwm/x11 before?  If if was launched from your ~/.bash_profile but you are no longer using bash as your login shell, then the problem (and solution) should be obvious.

EDIT: I see there is a wdm in the AUR listed as a replacement of XDM as a display manager.  Is that what you're using?  How is it configured to start?  Via a systemd service?
