I have a unique problem that's quite odd. I have followed instructions to set up point and click printing in samba for a printer in CUPS. It works quite well, but whenever the server reboots, it "Forgets" the drivers. The files are still in my drivers folder ("/etc/samba/drivers"), but Samba no longer shows that they are there if I navigate to the printers and faxes share, right click on the white space, choose server properties, and go to the drivers tab.
Samba is clearly installing the drivers correctly because the same process I use above shows the drivers installed before I reboot. I think Samba is supposed to be creating more .tdb files to store this information, but for some reason it is not. Is this a value that needs to be set in the configuration file?
I will investigate the logs and see if there are any errors.

Well, there was a permission denied error for the smbpasswd file in /etc/samba/private/smbpasswd
Speaking of which, the package maintainer should fix that... that path was set wrong in the default config I believe

Still no luck here, hoping someone will see this.
