Does any of this work in an X11 session?
Can we see the non-flatschpak errors (VS code)?

Are there ways to run hyprland on x11?

When I write the command $ code, there are no logs in the terminal

No, just run an openbox or icewm session.
ps faux | grep -C3 code
and see https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Core_d … _core_dump
No output at all is weird and likely indicates a running process (that just failed to show a window => let's see what happens on X11)

Openbox is just a window manager, what you see is like likely exactly what you can expect.
Try to click the right mouse button.

Strace will slow down things, but it's borderline impossible to not get some craghs message or coredump this way.

cat: /mtp/code.strace: there is no such file or directory
Cause it's "tmp", not "mtp" - you'll have to pay a little attention to what you type here…
