For years I've had my smb mounts defined in fstab. Both mentioned file managers displayed those mounts (as unmounted, since I used "noauto") as "mountable devices" (I am using xfce4). Since one of latest updates the mount points are not shown any more.
The fstab mount defines /media/nas/xx/. The xx folder exists (for 10 years Arch Linux on my Thinkpad T410) and the mounts could be mounted by selecting them.
Example of a fstab entry:
//cubie/xx /media/nas/xx cifs username=user,password=pwd,noauto,_netdev,users 0 0
Both filemanagers used to display this mount as a device and don't anymore.
Changing the mount points in fstab to a local (user) mount point resolved the issue - but I would like to understand what has changed. Why is /media not recognized any more by both of the ? . Why would I have to mount them locally?
Is it a systemd or an udisk configuration change?

Tried to add "x-gvfs-show" instead?
Is it a systemd or an udisk configuration change?
I'd primarily look at gvfs.

Thanks, Seth, that worked perfectly. Seems to be that some default value must've been changed. Marking the thread solved
