Hello everyone,
I tried to install protonvpn-cli, but the installation fails because there is a not met requirement in my system.
python-pythondialog is missing and when I tried to install it I was not able to, so I just googled it and found this page:
https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/an … hondialog/
I think the removal of the package must be more or less recent, because not so long ago I installed protonvpn-cli also in an archlinux system and the installation went through.
Does anyone know why was the package removed?
Greetings!

It was dropped to the AUR: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/python-pythondialog
Presumably it was no longer needed as a dependency for anything in the official repos.

Hi. Thanks for your reply.
The package was in deed moved to aur.
However, using yay and pamac I cannot seem to find tha package (the only package found is python-pythondialog-docs).
I cloned the repository and tried to install it via makepkg, but I got the following error:
==> ERROR: One or more PGP signatures could not be verified!
I am guessing this should be handled by the maintainer ?

I'm not familiar with yay or pamac, but for the makepkg error see https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Makepk … e_checking
