[Solved] How to disable Adaptive contrast/Dynamic brightness

This week I've upgraded to Plasma 6.2.1 and Nvidia 560.35.03 on my desktop. And now my monitor is dimming brightness according to the image. I've tried a lot of suggestions, but nothing helped. It's so annoying when it lights up on dark scenes! Please, help me disable this!

What I did so far:

  • set screen brightness in Power Management

  • installed nvidia-bl-dkms

  • tried `acpi_backlight=vendor`

  • set `KWIN_DRM_ALLOW_NVIDIA_COLORSPACE`

  • reset my monitor's OSD and checked through it's settings

  • tried to disable HDR with `kscreen-doctor output.DVI-D-1.hdr.disable`

I think it's best if we start from the beginning and tackle the problem methodically.

Re: [Solved] How to disable Adaptive contrast/Dynamic brightness

Well, I'm not sure what solved my problem.
I disabled “Smart Energy Saver” just as the problem occurred, but nothing changed back then so I moved on.
Now I decided to check everything again and found that “Energy Saver” is On again. It looks like something was overwriting it.
But now it is in the Off state and there are no more brightness spikes.
