Problem with Port Forwarding

I was trying to port forward yesterday and I've been trying for hours and hours but I just couldn't figure out where and what's wrong. I (hopefully) did all the things right, but when it got into https://yougetsignal.com it still says port 25565 is closed. If you guys can help I would be really grateful :)

Re: Problem with Port Forwarding

as this is specific to your router and isp the first step is to consult your routers manual how to setup port forwarding - this is something nobody can help you with unless you share the exact model and firmware version of your router
but even if you have it setup correctly it's an option your ISP is the issue by either using CG-NAT or blocking incoming traffic altogether
also: for a port checker to be successful you have to have something listening on the port - so: had you the server run when testing?

Re: Problem with Port Forwarding

And for some reason, when I type my public IP (XX.XX.XX.XX:25565 and not localhost) I can join my server, but my friends can't, which is normal since it shows that my port 25565 is closed.

Re: Problem with Port Forwarding

My router's model is D-Link AX3000, but I can't find the manual anywhere in my house so can anybody send the manual through this post?

Re: Problem with Port Forwarding

There are 2 ax3000 routers from d-link, a G530 and a M30 .
You may also need to lookup the exact hw revision to ensure you have the correct manual.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Re: Problem with Port Forwarding

if you have a server running but the port scanner fails this hints to:
- the port scanner is crap - try a different one
- your isp uses cg-nat - in that case you're out of luck but need some other means
- you messed up the port-forwarding

btw: minecraft uses TCP only - no need for UDP
