glibc 2.41+r9+ga900dbaf70f0-1
Build: linux-amdgpu-stable-6.13.5.arch1-1
This build contains patches from stable linux-amdgpu-testing-6.13.4.arch1-18 + reverted mainstream workaround, so it can be compared to the original 6.13.5.arch1.
Fixes the freeze for Raven + RDNA 1.0 and RDNA 3.0:

So, after about 25 days of stable uptime with patched mesa mesa-test-git-25.0.0_devel.200908.66775c89fce-1 and linux 6.12.8, I upgraded the system to linux 6.13.4 and newer patched mesa mesa-test-git-25.0.0_rc3.201182.3a8abfa39b7-1 and got two freezes after a day or so. This time I could not reach the system over SSH. I see nothing relevant in the logs. Upgraded again to linux 6.13.5 and switched to repo's mesa 24.3.4. (AMD Ryzen 5 3400G with Radeon Vega Graphics)

After the release of linux 6.13.5 and linux-lts 6.12.17 I am now back to the current mesa 24.3.4 with the current linux-lts.
First I test if there are actually no more crashes (freezes).
With the current kernel (here: lts), mesa 24.3.4 has been running stably for about 30 hours now.
So mesa can wait another month with another release (joke). Mesa 24.3.5 was announced for Feb 05. Yes, I know: the fix is not supposed to be included in that version. But it would have been easy to release a separate version 24.3.4.1 with that gfx9-fix for Raven/Raven2, because the severity of the bug is well known.
So anyway ...
After 3 months, things seem to be back to normal for me.
The second question still remains...

My system has been 99.5% reliable since I updated the kernel to 'linux 6.13.5' when it was in testing repo, now in core.
The 0.5% glitches are a result of the user....
My OS is stable.
Wait, what OS though, or are you holding back on updates? All those packages have been updated on my system, and it's been around a week since I've updated.
Have you tried updating?

There's no change for non-LTS kernel, issue is still present. I'm now at:

mesa 1:24.3.4-1
Using workaround amdgpu.ppfeaturemask=0xfff73fff to make it stable.

I have 2 day ok uptime (which I don't consider sufficiently long, as it usually took some days of normal usage for me to freeze it) with:
linux 6.13.5.arch1-1
amd-ucode 20250210.5bc5868b-1

linux-api-headers 6.13-1

And looking into logs, the configuration that froze for me twice had:

@lpr1 You can use linux-amdgpu-stable-6.13.5.arch1-1 as well. It would be good to get your performance metrics compared to LTS/mainline kernels.
