Random shutdown and reboot how to see logs?

I have been experiencing random shutdown/reboot. I wasn't able to experience it while I was using the computer until like 20 mins ago. I am trying to see the journalctl output, and I am not able to see any messages that happened before current boot session. How do I do this? Thanks.

Other possibilities for the missing journal would be persistent journal logging has been disabled on the system or the journal being corrupted so `journalctl` refuses to show it.

I was using something like

# journalctl --since "20 min ago"

which would reach far back before the event, and it would only show me anything logged after the recent boot..

Is the random shutdown recorded at the end of the previous boot?

Don't filter for errors.
If this is a regular (just undesired) shutdown, it won't show up as error and if it's a cold reboot, the reboot won't show up at all.
