How to spoof mac address for PPPoe connection?

Hi!
I want to spoof mac address of my PPPoe interface because sometimes I need to connect to connection directly using my laptop instead of router. ISP only lift the restriction temporarily when I ask but it is annoying.

NetworkManager isn't providing option for custom mac address like it does provide for WiFi and Ethernet connections. I'm also unable to use macchanger since NetworkManager is creating ppp0 virtual interface for connection only after connection is established.

Hi!

I am not terribly familiar with what is possible with NetworkManager.conf, but as far as I know, PPP inherits the MAC address from the parent interface.

Did you tried nmcli? See man page for it.
