My dad had an old laptop he kept in a corner, with the amount of space he had left over from installing windows (7, I think?) he always needed a usb in it to use it, so he told me if I can make use of it and have space left over, that I could have it, so I put Arch on it as an experiment and never looked back

Lenovo ThinkPad P14s Gen 5 (AMD) works well with Arch. I haven't tested Bluetooth yet, which I believe is not working yet.

MSI Raider a18 hx a7vig.
In order to connect to wifi, during setup, I used wpa_supplicant because impatience. [1]
Ethernet works out of the box. Other then that it's been smooth sailing.
Edit: iwd has some problem with ath12k and this hardware, when I sort this I'll update.
##Update: This is how I supported the qualcom WCN785x wifi
The firmware:
git clone https://git.codelinaro.org/clo/ath-firmware/ath12k-firmware

Sleep - 2-3% overnight with kernel param acpi.ec_no_wakeup=1, otherwise you lose 50-70%. I think this might disable automatic wakeup when you open the lid but that's an acceptable loss to me.
Wi-Fi - I struggled with the included MT7925 for a few days (which connects then immediately drops the speed to 0B/s for both my home 2.4GHz and 5GHz), then just gave up and replaced it with an ever-reliable AX210. Mediatek is still submitting a lot of patches for the driver so I think it's not quite ready yet.
Volume control - Speaker volume control doesn't work out of the box and the best solution so far is to turn on software mixing. This seems hacky but from what I understand these modern Lenovo models don't have hardware volume control, so even if it's fixed in the kernel, it would just shift from ALSA software mixing to kernel software mixing anyways.
Video acceleration - Currently there's a significant bug with video acceleration on Strix. The GOAT Mario Limonciello has provided a patch, hence the dirty kernel. I've not encountered video acceleration issues with that patch.
Swap - Unfortunately the 32GB model isn't sold near me so I have to use swap. I tried using zram but I occasionally ran into some odd micro-freezes with "Write-error on swap-device". I'm not sure if it's a problem with my setup (i.e. some more zram/sysctl tuning would fix it) or if it's a kernel/hardware problem.
