Hi, not sure what details exactly to give, but I'm in panic mode, my graphics have worked fine for months, not sure why it's suddenly not working.
Only 1 of 4 screens turns on and it runs at a low resolution. I did do updates yesterday, but I've restarted since then and it worked. I've tried reinstalling my driver, but I don't really know enough to confidently do anything more. I'm trying to avoid a reinstall of the whole os because I don't have time to fight with all the installs and such right now. (I will if I can't find an answer, but I'm avoiding it)
pacman -Q | grep nvidia
lib32-nvidia-utils 575.57.08-1
nvidia-dkms 575.57.08-1
nvidia-utils 575.57.08-1
opencl-nvidia 575.57.08-1
These two give me nothing
sudo dmesg | grep nvidia
lsmod | grep nvidia
Edit: I'm on KDE Plasma (Wayland) with a 3060ti
Update: Just tried putting it into initramfs (Trying to troubleshoot with the wiki), no avail. No change. I'm about ready to say screw it and reinstall everything because as much as I don't have time for it, I have less time to keep trying things that don't work.

Alright, I can't figure it out and it's too hard to get anything done in 640x480, so I'm just gonna go ahead and reinstall (I've been wanting to trying another Desktop Environment anyway). I'll leave this as unsolved until I get it back running just incase it's something wiping can't fix.

Okay, so I'm back because I did a clean install and it's still not fixed. Maybe a bug caused by a recent update? The only thing wiping the system did was change the resolution to 1080p, it's still listed as "Unknown-1-unknown"

In addition to the outputs seth requested please post the full system journal from a boot with the issue.

For the journal, what's the best way to acquire and post it? I know of the journalctl command, but I don't know how to use it well yet.

Oh, also, since the wipe, the other commands I said I used do show different info:

NovaCore conflicting with nvidia. Please see https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 2#p2245332.

Kernel driver in use: NovaCore

Probaly not blacklisted by nvidia-utils, so provide that locally.
Edi: not. fair.

I was starting to think that, but had troubles finding anything. I don't even know how it installed because I just did a fresh install.
Does that link include everything I need to remove or fix it? And do you know if that will affect anything else?
Offline
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Kernel … and_line_2 explains how to blacklist modules, blacklisting "nova-core" will prevent it from loading and nvidia will take over.
Since the nova-core module is nvidia-specific, I don't see what else would be affected by this.

Alright, thank you, I'll read through and get back to you with an update whether good or bad.

It worked, there is an immense weight lifted from my mind. Now for the fun of reinstalling stuff because I jumped the gun on wiping the system. That's on me though. Thank you again for your time, now hopefully I can get what I need done quickly.
