Re: Hello, I would like to know how I can get those zsh functions.

Hi,

I would say the question is rather vague here...

What functions do you mean? The ones that come as part of the archiso package (like mkarchiso)?

Or some of the functions found within the iso install media?

Some greater context would be necessary for this question to be correctly answered.

Thanks,

Since the subject mentions zsh explicitly I assume he's searching https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Zsh#Sa … shrc_files but @Danielbbom, please put more effort into your future questions.

Hello, thank you for answering me about those functions. I wanted to know about those that come with Archiso's zsh, such as autocorrection, etc.

Sorry if the response is quite late smile

Re: Hello, I would like to know how I can get those zsh functions.

And clearly written by a fucking AI.

Do not! suggest people install this monstrosity that is OMZ.
Every. Single. Thread. that starts w/ "my zsh behaves weirdly" ends with OMZ.

The OP explicitly asked for the arch installation iso, that has grml as pointed out by myself in #3 and repeated in #5
If you want fish-like autosuggestions, there're https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/an … ggestions/ and https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/an … ocomplete/ and for syntax highlighting there's https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/an … hlighting/ and what most people want when they say "OMZ" is https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/powerline/

DO NOT ADVERTISE OMZ AND CERTAINLY DO NOT SUGGEST PEOPLE CURL OR WGET SHIT INTO A SHELL!

ohhhhh.. wha. I didn't use AI, I just explained what I did for my zsh, which is what many had suggested after looking into shell customisation

one example

*sigh*

(you came off rather rude though icl)

**Please do not follow anything I said I guess**

Re: Hello, I would like to know how I can get those zsh functions.

The format and linguistic patterns yelled "AI" all over the place, you might have simply copypasted that, though.
And they were distinctly different in your subsequent posts.

To be clear: I'm simply being very explicit about OMZ (which, in fact, is off topic to the question in this thread) - not to hate on you (well, the idea to curl scripts into a shell - except you might have copypasted that from the OMZ homepage. That's called bash roulette. Do not do that and do not suggest that. Ever.)

Re: Hello, I would like to know how I can get those zsh functions.

Maybe I should completely stop replying to posts like these until I've enough knowledge that I could have an implication as to a solution without having to do even a little bit of research....

Anyway, I'm bloating this thread (just like so it seems OMZ does zsh, I've come to realise)

Thanks

Re: Hello, I would like to know how I can get those zsh functions.

You don't learn to walk without stumbling and there's no whatsoever competence barrier for anyone to provide (on topic wink) input.
You might get called out but if you indeed came to realize that you might want to explore saner paths to configure your shell and that *We do not download scripts directly into a shell. Ever. No matter who tells us.*, you can easily book the discomfort you might have felt as a net-win.

I frequently learn stuff on this board (because I'm still young and you cannot prove different!)
