i tried multiple trouble shooting steps

I tried many thing, I tried the best things, I tried all the things…
Please don't paraphrase, read https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=57855
Then please post your Xorg log, https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Xorg#General

Also: "black screen" or "black screen with a mouse cursor"?

Have you bothered to click the link?
In case you mean "w/o interacting with the system possible", ctrl+alt+f3 shall hopefully move you to another VT w/ a console on it.

Edit: you can upload the file from the console using https://0x0.st/

Re: XFCE4 giving a black screen after install with KDE plasma

I don't feel unchill at all.
But you're then also new to reading, I guess?

Anyway: remove every single xf86-video-* package you installed.
Do you deliberately use nouveau with a Turing chip (covered by nvidia and nvidia-open)?

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Nouveau

Depends.
1. how did you "get it working"
2. what issues do you face w/ what wayland compositor
3. probably try nvidia or nvidia-open then…
