Cannot connect to WiFi on MacBook 2017

Hi... sorry, I installed Arch on my MacBook earlier, on installation, trying to connect to WiFi, it fails (but WiFi worked when running MacOS). When using iwctl to connect, it successfully does everything it's supposed to but says "Operation Failed" when actually attempting to connect, I messed around a bit with it and it seem to be the same error given when entering a wrong password...? I've also tested some conditions like connecting via Ethernet & using an external WiFi dongle thingy, which worked. I read some other fourms that said that they changed something in their router which solved the issue, but I don't think it's the same issue here as I've also tried to connect to WiFi through my phone's hotspot and WiFi at other places, which also produced the same issue.

I was still able to install it through an Ethernet cable, but the issue still persists.

Also, different issue but does anyone know how to get the touchbar to work? Sorry... I'm really new to Arch...

Re: Cannot connect to WiFi on MacBook 2017

use ascii passord with contains no weird characters or space.
test with open wifi(password-less) to see what change.

maybe you have been bitten by apple intentionally.

Re: Cannot connect to WiFi on MacBook 2017

My home WiFi already doesn't have any special characters or spaces (which honestly I should change). Also, I turned off my password for my phone's hotspot, and it connects fine.

Edit: Sorry, I also just discovered a new issue... it's kind of unrelated but when I put my laptop into sleep mode now, it no longer wakes up and I need to restart it for it to work again

Re: Cannot connect to WiFi on MacBook 2017

Please don't paraphrase, https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=57855
Please post your complete system journal for the boot after attempting to connect to the AP

sudo journalctl -b | curl -F 'file=@-' 0x0.st

Also Apple uses the worst wifi NICs possible but you likely stand a better chance w/ https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x8 … oadcom-wl/

put my laptop into sleep mode now, it no longer wakes up

so this did work before? What changed interim?
