Since this happens in response to SDDM starting, do you run SDDM on wayland?

Add the parameters and if that doesn't help try SDDM on X11 and if that doesn't help post the X11 log.

I booted with the parameters and it worked. I also added them to the file

/boot/loader/entries/(date)linux.conf

Everything right?

But if the parameters get picked up in /proc/cmdline and this averts the issue (for now) everything would be as "right" as it gets, yeah.
