Hello, I cannot have hotspot working with my wifi card ath12k. It works with windows, but with arch there is no way; I tried many different things, at the beginning my smartphone couldn't connect to the network (created by network manager applet), now it connect but with no access to the internet (I changed many different things, not sure what). I tried also the command line tool creat_ap, with no success. Can someone help me? Thanks

Hello, is there any log I can post to help figure out the problem?

There various ways to bridge a network and it gets a bit more sketchy if you're trying to use the same device as AP and STA.
Edit: meaning to say: try to configure this manually instead of relying on some NM checkbox, so you know what's actually happening.
Also
It works with windows
3rd link below. Mandatory.
Disable it (it's NOT the BIOS setting!) and reboot windows and linux twice for voodo reasons.

Thank you seth, but I tried already to configure it manually and I have fast-star windows disabled. I think it's some issue with the wifi driver...

What step of which precise manual configuration fails with what error?

Hello, sorry for my late reply. In the end I tried again today and create_ap finally worked, maybe because I installed linux-wifi-hotspot from AUR. It does not work from nm-applet still, but I do not care. Thanks for your help!

Please always remember to mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.
