I just replaced my Lenovo KVM display with a Philips 49B2U5900CH/00, but I can't reach the ethernet device on the KVM.

I can see the device as Device 023.
But when I run
nmcli device
I get this
DEVICE TYPE STATE CONNECTION
enp1s0 ethernet connected Wired connection 1
lo loopback connected (externally) lo
The device is not shown.
Anyone had similar issues that could offer some pointers?
Best regards
/Jon

This Realtek device is so new that searching for
0bda:4c86 or 0BDA:4C86
or the "Windoze notation"
USB\VID_0BDA&PID_4C86
yields no useful results.
Can you attach that display to a Windoze device? Maybe that will uncover the Realtek hardware device type.

Ah, good idea - thanks.
I did, and as I read it, this monitor does not present the Ethernet adapter over USB-B uplink, only USB-C.
