Hello,
I am experiencing a Wi-Fi connectivity issue with Arch Linux. The Wi-Fi works perfectly when I am next to the router, but as soon as I move a little farther away, it stops working. Interestingly, the same location works fine when I use Windows on the same machine. This location is my office, and I need to use Wi-Fi in this place.
I am using an Intel AX203 wireless card with the iwlwifi driver. I have tried several troubleshooting steps, including disabling power saving and adjusting driver options, but the issue persists at distance.
Has anyone faced a similar problem or can suggest further troubleshooting steps? Any advice on tuning the iwlwifi driver or improving Wi-Fi stability on Arch would be highly appreciated.
Thank you!

What frequency of your WiFi are your Arch OS & Windows OS using (2.4GHz, 5GHz, 6GHz)?
Have you set the regdomain to match your actual region? - https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Networ … ory_domain

I have confirmed that I am using the 5GHz band on both Windows and Arch. Initially, my Wi-Fi regdomain was set to "global." I changed it to match my actual region, but the issue remains unchanged.

I suppose there might be some deviation between what is in the windows driver for that chip and what is in the Linux kernel. If that's the case there might not be a fix unless you want to do some serious debugging and months spent on the linux kernel mailing list going back and forth with the developers ![]()
