can't increase refresh rate to more than 60 HZ

My specs:
DELL OptiPlex 3040 Mini Tower Desktop
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 (TU117)
LG 24mr400-b (144 HZ but the hdmi cable only supports 100 Hz)
nvidia/580.105.08, 6.17.7-arch1-1, x86_64: installed
KDE plasma version: Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.19.0
Qt Version: 6.10.0
Kernel Version: 6.17.7-arch1-1 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11
Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-6500 CPU @ 3.20GHz
Memory: 16 GiB of RAM (15.6 GiB usable)

I have the nvidia-open-dkms drivers and tried reconfiguring a lot of stuff but basically i can't set the refresh rate to more than 60. the option isn't even available.
I have used previous distros such as Pop! OS and others and the NVIDIA driver worked fine and it reached 100 HZ refreshrate. so i think it is a driver issue, i'm not sure, if anyone could help me with this issue, I appreciate it.

Re: can't increase refresh rate to more than 60 HZ

Also on KDE Plasma 6.5.2 with Wayland. Also Nvidia GPU. Up till recently (how recently I'm not entirely sure last week or two?) I was able to set my refresh rate to 75Hz, but a couple days ago I notice now it's stuck with 60Hz being the highest supported refresh rate. When I have more free time I'll provide all the relevant information.
