Whenever I hit CTRL+P in Evince (https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Evince) or papers (https://apps.gnome.org/Papers/), the newly opened window basically crashes. There is no content in it, it stays gray and basically CPU load goes up and the fan starts to increase spin speed.
What _did_ work was using the good old "lp" command, fortunately. ![]()
Some data I can think of as relevant right now:
$ pacman -Q evince
evince 1:48.1-1
$ pacman -Q cups
cups 2:2.4.15-1
$ pacman -Q cups-pdf
cups-pdf 3.0.2-1I am using xfce with all updates, i.e. version 4.20.
Is there a new bug within the software or did I miss some crucial update regarding the configuration/packages?

Thank you.
I can confirm downgrading both cups and libcups to version 2:2.4.14-1 re-enables the print window.

I'm able to print pdf from xpdf with cups, but not from firefox or brave. It says it is printing, but it just hangs.
I may have to CONSOLE you about your usage of ridiculously easy graphical interfaces...

The problem affected only the gtk print dialog, but ti's supposed to be fixed w/ the latest cups release - update your system, (restart cups though that should™ not be necessary) and try again (you'll have to restart the browser, though)
Edit: maybe the portal implementation needs a restart. In very doubt, log out and back in.
