xfce network gui collapses (org.gnome.nm-applet.eap schema missing)

Hi,

The network icon (top right on xfce) disappears if I choose to connect to another wifi network.

"nm-applet &" makes it reappear. Then I can try changing the wifi network again, and the icon will disappear again, with an error trace in terminal. The relevant part is this:

(nm-applet:36337): GLib-GIO-ERROR **: 15:59:19.818: Settings schema 'org.gnome.nm-applet.eap' is not installed

I tried reinstalling "network-manager-applet", but it did not help. Does anyone have a suggestion how to solve this schema issue?
