E.g. now 31/1/2026 I boot Arch Linux Netboot, is the downloaded content the same as archlinux-x86_64.iso released 1/1/2026 ? Or Arch Linux Netboot is updated than this .iso ?
Boot archlinux-x86_64.iso then I can do
pacman -Syu...

The netboot is a efi bootimage to download the linux image file from the provided servers and boot after downloading them. For this BIOS/UEFI is used (thats why wifi doesnt work out of the box) . So basically it uses the same version as current listed as newset "arch.....img" 'unless it isn't a custom netboot image.'
Now to question.
Yes its true. The netboot loads the newest version while the image can be old (if downloaded version is some from some time ago). So
pacman -Syu
after installing through live image
will install the latest
and for title,
No, the netboot and the version listed in download page are same.

------------------------- IN SPEAKING OF THE IMAGES FROM SERVERS (the images)
But since it might take some time to build these images. since the packages are updated first and provided for update through "pacman -Syu"
so in terms of speaking cutting edge, its the pacman -Syu first before both the other ones..

Well I tried https://archlinux.org/static/netboot/ipxe-arch.efi , this issue https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=302688 , https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/ipxe/ "Flagged out-of-date on 2025-09-26" indeed...
So according to akai, Arch Linux Netboot & the latest archlinux-x86_64.iso are same.
Not enough space (why limited?) to write [SOLVED] mmm...

Oh my bad, BIOS Setup, Peripherals, Network Stack Configuration, Network Stack: Enabled, it works!
Indeed in the Arch Linux Netboot menu, there's Release: 2026.01.01, QED.
