Re: [SOLVED]GPU problem again

Many failed. I did update of nvidia. And deleted some packages such as fonts. Directories still exists tho. Should I delete them ? Package name and directory name are not same btw;

yay -Rsnc mullvad-vpn
error: target not found: mullvad
 -> exit status 1

Same for brave. I see nvidia-470xx-utils too.

Now nvidia-smi returns result:

Re: [SOLVED]GPU problem again

It's not like I hadn't pointed out clutter-gtk

pacman -Qi clutter-gtk

error: target not found: mullvad

pacman -Qm

Now nvidia-smi returns result:

Now means after what? What's the status quo?

pacman -Qs nvidia
lspci -k | grep -iC3 nvidia

But it seems the kernel module is loaded.

Re: [SOLVED]GPU problem again

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/GTK and you require clutter-gtk for https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Cheese

What's the status quo?

Ie. is

There is lag and slowdown even when hovering the mouse. The fan constantly turns on and off at boost speed.

still the case?

What do you mean ?

Gnome, Plasma, …

Gotcha. Like I said after the update that situation solved. I guess its solved. How about the other outputs I shared ?

Yay shows me 40 package updates than its updating 20. And I have 53 folders in there. For clean up can I delete some folders from there ?
For easy use of yay and idk which package to update I tried to use `yay -Syu` again. And since some temp update/upgrade files/process still there... It ran mkinitcpio and 20/20 process done, i though its end but now its working on gcc14 again. But 40 packages (asking to exclude) and 20 packages which is asking `delete dependencies after install` never less. So is that mean its not improving ?

And how about gtk/clutter-gtk situation ? Is it solved ?

Please always remember to mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.

Please don't paraphrase, https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=57855
I really don't know what you're trying to say but you want to check

pacman -Qi gcc14

why you have that at all - as mentioned: building gcc might take some resources and time.

And how about gtk/clutter-gtk situation ? Is it solved ?

clutter-gtk is required for the discontinued "cheese", if you don't want/require cheese you can remove both, otherwise just don't update them.
Thy gobject-introspection failure might be related to python installations bypassing pacman, conda or pip. So if that's something you've done you need to clean that up (pip) or leave the venv (conda)

Okay than. But it takes more than hours.

I dont think I installed that on purpose. Whats that for ?

Hmm. Which method will be best practise ? I might try to install for some pip packages but im not using it. Im usins venv itself. No conda nor normal(global) pip.

Depending on your hardware and esp. RAM ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's also an orphan, you can just remove that.
