Im having trouble with VLC

Hi, in my opinion VLC is the best video and audio player but in this situation is not the case, because im not even capable of open a .mp4 because i need a codec, and when i installed vlc-plugins-all but the codec was not appearing in the list, now im frustrated because VLC is doing something strange with audio files, like stutters or something like that. Also, i dont know how but i installed VLC using sudo pacman -S vlc and i get a low-cost/cheap version of VLC (Thats how i explain it tongue) without much of the functions, maybe im wrong because i dont installed correctly all the packages.

if you can help i will be very grateful. Any help helps

Even on a PC from 2009: hardly.

not even capable of open a .mp4 because i need a codec, and when i installed vlc-plugins-all but the codec was not appearing

Please don't paraphrase, https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=57855 - MP4 is a container format, typically holding h.264/aac

https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x8 … in-ffmpeg/ will usually have you covered for most of the media you face.
vlc-plugins-all will install a shitload of codecs you don't need or even want, I suppose your audio problems stem from one of the more obscure audio sinks - so remove that and then install vlc-plugin-ffmpeg and stop flailing around.
Usually thinking first and acting then gets you better results.
