Dear all,
I was connecting with success to a Fortinet VPN by networkmanager-openconnect from UI until
[2026-07-15T07:32:29+0200] [ALPM] upgraded openconnect (1:9.12-5 -> 1:9.21-1)
[2026-07-23T07:02:59+0200] [ALPM] upgraded networkmanager (1.56.1-2 -> 1.58.0-1) <-- since this one is not working anymore
If I connect via terminal I don't have any issue
> openconnect --protocol=fortinet vpn-FQN:vpn-Port -u my-user
If I connect via UI, initially it show me a message that NetworkManager was using OpenVPN instead of right protocol, now it fails silently
Anyone had same problem? Any resolution?
EDIT: to mark post as SOLVED i had to reduce original title that was: Fortinet VPN not working on networkmanager-openconnect since upgrade

Same problem here.
In journal there is this related message:
NetworkManager[1231]: <info> [1785392520.5847] audit: op="connection-activate" uuid="9cc74be2-d845-4eb2-9c6a-cf147e517295" name="FORTI" pid=3787 uid=1000 result="fail" reason="The 'openconnect' plugin doesn't support private connections."Offline
Due to recent changes in the permission management changing system-wide usable NM connections need root permissions. Therefore I have marked all my connections as "All users may connect to this network: No".
Do you both have marked those VPN connections to only be usable by your user accounts? If so - try to set the flag.
