You're using a browser extension that provides a VPN - but only in the context of the browser.
Proton VPN isn’t working anymore
Proton on your computer (is there an error?), proton & discord or proton in turkey, https://www.reddit.com/r/ProtonVPN/comm … in_turkey/ ?
(I assume all of them are talking about https://protonvpn.com/free-vpn while as https://gizmodo.com/best-vpn/unblock-discord-turkey points out the free plans typically don't offer obfuscation)

I doubt so - nobody takes "lagal" whims of criminal dictators all that serious, not even the other criminal dictators.

The Proton VPN I was using was a paid service. So, it connects, but it doesn't even open Discord or other blocked sites.
So are you saying NordVPN will be the solution?

I'm not saying anything - ask your government which VPNs they block 
So, what is your WAN IP (w/o the browser specific VPN but Proton running) and what does dns leak tests say about your DNS?
