Hi,
I'm trying to set up the networkmanager for my laptop, then it can configure my network when I plug in the wire (I can't have working wifi drivvers yet). My problem is hat the default route is not set.
Here are some parts of my /etc/rc.conf file
lo="lo 127.0.0.1"
eth0="eth0 192.168.0.2 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.0.255"

gateway="default gw 192.168.0.1"
ROUTES=(!gateway)

I think the problem is with dhcdbd but i can't see where. i tried to google on those lines w/o success. Have someone experienced something similar, can anyone help me ?

Works fine here, it takes a while after route command for the next line after the first to pop up tho.
I'm not sure what your problem is though, can't you reach your router without manually adding the route or what?
I'm using dhcd though, instead of manual configured ip address.

yes, I can reach my router, but I can't reach the Internet because the default route is not set ... So I have to add it manually.

By the way, I found a tempoary solution. To add the service networkmanager-dispatcher and create the script /etc/NetworkManager/dispatcher.d/route containing :
#!/bin/sh
case "$2" in
up)
route add default gw 192.168.0.254
;;
down)
;;
esacThe problem is that it will only work on my personal network, not elsewhere.

you need to remove the "!" from the ROUTES line... "!" meaning to disable
ROUTES=(!gateway)

Are you getting DHCP some other way. You list this in your rc.conf
lo="lo 127.0.0.1"
eth0="eth0 192.168.0.2 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.0.255"
INTERFACES=(lo !eth0)
And usually I use this when I am using DHCP
lo="lo 127.0.0.1"
eth0="dhcp"
INTERFACES=(lo eth0)
I dont have "dhcdbd" installed so I dont know if thats causing any issue. Though I might install that later and try again to see if I can reproduce your issue.

Well ... I was using network profiles. But you're right. I changed eth0 and wlan0 to dhcp and it works.
So:
eth0=dhcp
wlan0=dhcp
INTERFACES=(lo !eth0 !wlan0)Thank you so much, it works now
