nVidia CK804 (1Gb/s) - low throughtput (~50KB/s)

Hi all!

I have this card

# lspci | grep -i eth
00:0a.0 Bridge: nVidia Corporation CK804 Ethernet Controller (rev a3)

and I am experiencing very slow network throughput (around 50KB/s).

Using this forcedeth driver:

# modinfo forcedeth
filename: /lib/modules/2.6.20-ARCH/kernel/drivers/net/forcedeth.ko
license: GPL

The card is connected either to a 1Gb switch or 100Mb wifi router. Neither work as it should. Cable is OK.

I've tried some tweaking with ethtool (like forcing speed and duplex) but without any success. Googling did not help - this problem seems to be rare.
There is no problem in Windows (XP and Vista) so hardware is probably OK.

I am completely unexperienced in such network configuration, so it is pretty possible I missed something obvious :-)

Thanks in advance for any clues!

What happened to Arch's KISS? systemd sure is stupid but I must have missed the simple part ...

... and who is general Failure and why is he reading my harddisk?
