Well damned, been configuring my Dell latitude C400 for 3 days straight now and finally got everything to work.
(laptopkeys, acpi, wifi, powersaving u name it)
Removed acx driver and installed ndiswrapper -> installed networkmanager -> removed wep installed wpa -> fought alot with keys -> finally works with zyxel G162 wifi and networkmanager / wpa.
Then checked out nautilus networkshares, I think its somekinda nautilus autodetect samba feature and voila no more shares :( They worked previous to installing wpa / networkmanager...
So simple question do I need to configure samba now or why wont it autodetect?
(samba config seems horrible so i hope the autodetect stuff works with networkmanager :) )
ps. other question would be how to stop the keyring password asking when gnome starts?
I think theres a program to automagically sign into keyring but any other ideas?

Wonder if this is the same problem?
http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=227180
Is the nautilus-smb-autodetect avahi related?
SOLVED:
Asked too fast, it works like this:
alt+f2 -> smb://192.168.0.1/linux
something just changed the bookmark I used to use, weird.
PS: not only does it work but it works shitloads faster than it used to
