Hi,
i fixed the package from "denis" in the AUR.
Changes:
- Moved it to /opt
- Using through group "games" (before the whole content was moved to user's home)
- Added epsxe.install for initially creating group "games" and some needed hints for users
- Added make dependencies: unzip
- Added dependencies: gtk
- Removed the useless scripts and added some new to /opt/epsxe/bin
Thanks denis for initially creating this package.
Package can be retrieved here: http://freeforge.net/~ssimon/files/linu … sxe.tar.gz
I've no permissions to replace the old package in AUR, if a mod/admin/whoever is reading this, please replace or delete it.
Have fun.

The games group was recently added, actually, into the official group-list, with GID 50. Please correct your .install file to conform to this.

epsxe pkgbuilds and plugins are going to be updated when I get home.
Changes:
- Removed the two crappy bash scripts and replaced it with a little launcher. (-old args starts 1.5.2, compability reasons with some games)
- First start creates a ~/.epsxe directory. In this directory are symlinks to /opt/epsxe/* folders placed and writeable for games group.
- Many not so important cosmetic things
- Plugins now have the correct permissions

hi mephisto,
i would leave the games group out of this.
the bash script should make local writable folders inside ~/.epsxe, so every user shoud have his own memory cards and configuration files.
inside the epsxe bash start-up script:
cp -ri ${GAMEDIR}/cfg .
cp -ri ${GAMEDIR}/cheats .
mkdir memcards
mkdir snap
i think this would be more convenient.
changing config-files globally does not make much sense, since every user can overwrite it.

Only the static stuff like plugins, bios is symlinked to /opt, variable stuff has it's own directory in ~/.epsxe.
