Interesting dilemma (with openssl)

When updating the openssl package some annoying stuff happens on this one machine I have in service running arch, it's sshd, postfix, apache and vsftpd hangs.

To resolve this I run all the way downtown to logon and type /etc/rc.d/sshd restart. This solves the problem (although it's happend 4 times and i've been well aware of it and tried to counter it via a number of ways in screen and so on) and the sshd gets back up so i can restart the other services that also works perfectly when restarted.

Does anyone know why these services does this? Soon as the openssl package hits the system everything just stops responding.
