identd and IRC

Hi I followed this guide here:
http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Identd_Setup

but if I start konversation, kirc or whatever I still get the message
"no ident response"

nmap shows this:

Starting Nmap 4.20 ( http://insecure.org ) at 2007-05-11 14:34 CEST
Interesting ports on localhost.localdomain (127.0.0.1):
Not shown: 1694 closed ports
PORT STATE SERVICE
113/tcp open auth
515/tcp open printer
6000/tcp open X11

port 113 is open on the router.

Anyone a new idea?

thanks
mic

Re: identd and IRC

You need to forward that port to your local computer.
If you don't know how to do on your router, you can find out on this link http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm

Re: identd and IRC

Hi

checking the daemon.log. I get this
"xinetd[6618]: libwrap refused connection to auth (libwrap=identd) from 198.xx.xx.xx"

in my hosts.allow I have this
auth : ALL

maybe now anybody an idea?
