x.org config file

hi there

where is the x.org configuration file?

is it the same like xfree86 ? i dont think so....

at boot it just says "loading de_CH keymap failed" but i entered de_CH-latin1 (in the xfree86 config file) and the scrollwheel of my logitech mouse doesnt work, but it is set up the same way as bevor x update....

there has to be a second config file for x.org, not?

thanks

Re: x.org config file

I haven't played with xorg in a bit, but it was just like XF86Config--it's there in /etc/X11 IIRC

Re: x.org config file

it can read your old XF86Config file, but if you need to make a new one run

xorgconfig

smile

or was it

xorgconf

Well its one of the two. I have a logitech USB mouse and the wheel works just as it did in xfree86.

Re: x.org config file

Oh, of course it works with the XFree config file.

I was saying that the KBD solution can be found there. I think the mappings don't work no matter what config file you use.

Regarding the mouse, I also copied the config from XFree config file to the Xorg config file, even I could have used the same file.
