Works excellent on my Asus Z70V (Pentium M 1.7GHz, 1GB RAM, 40 GB HDD, Atheros AR5212 wireless, 15.4" 1680x1050 screen, ATI Radeon Mobility X600 64 MB). The only thing that took some figuring out was getting cpu scaling to work. I figured out the closed source fglrx driver for the video card was keeping my cpu (as well as memory) usage high. Switching to the open source xf86-video-ati driver fixed this. I have not testing hibernation or suspend.

Everything is supported well and runs without tweaks to packages, except for backlight control which I haven't got up yet.

An old (2002) Airis. I'm not absolutely sure about the model name now, but may be it was "Andromeda".
All was detected and works flawlessly (I never tested the modem since I don't dial up any more). The old Mobility Radeon 7500 is well supported by the free radeon driver. Xbindkeys lets you map the special keys (volume and so).

Basically most everything works by default. Touchpad needs to be tweaked for better performance. It takes a bit of work to get it to suspend correctly - I was finally able to get it to suspend to disk reliably using the suspend2 kernel. I did get the laptop to supend to and resume from ram, but the system would often become unstable after a while - someone more skilled would be probably able to get it to work. Overall Arch works great on this laptop.
PS: After some more tweaking I'm happy to announce that everything, including suspend-to-ram (with or without suspend2 patch), works perfectly now.
PS2: Also, there are some problems with ACPI on this laptop - nothing fatal, but it can be annoying nevertheless. I've posted a fixed DSDT file to the DSDT repository: http://acpi.sourceforge.net/dsdt/view.php?id=907. More info about DSDT problems can be found on Gentoo Wiki: http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Fix_Common … g_the_DSDT.
If anyone has questions with regard to configuring this laptop in Arch (or any linux distribution, really) drop me an email.

everything works great with archppc the only thing I really had to modify from the default config was adding airport, sungem, and snd-powermac to my MODULES=() in rc.conf and using an older version of xf86-video-ati (6.6.192 was causing lockups)

Dell D820 with the nvidia quadro nvs120 & ipw3945: everything but suspend to disk (should be doable, but I've no real use for it; briefly tried suspend2) and modem (no surprises there...) works.

I didn't try to configure the card reader and modem.
ACPI works except the suspend-to-ram functionality. Video, audio, wifi (bcm chipset supported via ndiswrapper), usb drivers are okay.
