networkmanager ocasionally crashes...

Hi everyone... I have just installed my intel 3945abg wireless lan and i'm getting some problems with network-manager....

I'm not sure if it's network-manager or gnome-network-manager giving problems.... Sometimes when I try to "Connect to other wireless network" it crashes....

My system is up-to-date (x86_64 current) and everything is correctly configured according to the wiki... Also i have allready used gnm without problems before....

Here's the bug report:

The program is running. Quit anyway (and detach it)? (y or n) [answered Y; input not from terminal]

Re: networkmanager ocasionally crashes...

yeah, it crashes sometimes for me too.
and i even get a kernel oops at shutdown sometimes, but that's related to the ipw3945, i guess.

Re: networkmanager ocasionally crashes...

That I don't get........... Everything else works great, so far...
But this one is quite frequent...

About the kernel, sometimes shutdown froze... Not now, long ago... Ever since I added a "sync" line to rc.shutdown it never froze again....

Re: networkmanager ocasionally crashes...

where exactly did you add that "sync"?

Re: networkmanager ocasionally crashes...

Right in the beggining of the shutdown....

..................
# avoid staircase effect
/bin/stty onlcr

echo " "
printhl "Initiating Shutdown..."
echo " "

stat_busy "Syncing drives"
/bin/sync
stat_done

You could set the sync options for the drives you want in fstab, but that's not as good idea as this one, if the problem is just this.....
