True, but I was trying to restrict myself to the official releases, so that the final release would be more fresh. You've tempted me too much now though, I can't resist any more! Thanks for this repo, it's a lot better than compiling it all myself on gentoo.

So is there an alpha II repo anywhere yet ?

tardo.db.tar.gz missing in the repo .. syncronize with pacman is impossible, correct?

I'm uploading kde4 alpha 2 right now, give me an hour (slow upload sucks).

alright, it's up there. Remove kde4-svn or any other kde4 installation you have COMPLETELY (pacman -Rs kde4-svn) then reinstall with pacman -Sy kde4.
Notes:
- It's still broken, hence alpha. You'll get random crashes now and then. But it's still fairly usable.
- I can't fix the duplicate menu problem... #kde wasn't much help. Anyone that can offer a patch, drop me a line.
- I'll upload the pkgbuilds shortly, chances are I won't be here for the first beta, so you guys can build it yourself ;p
kde4-svn is currently broken, I haven't updated in a while because well... it's still broken. I'll try and update amarok2 sometime today too.

Are you going to upload KDE Alpha2 for x86_64?

I am interested in your PKGBUILDs, because KDEbase breaks every time with the ones from AUR:

Thanks, but it seems there isnt everything included in that archive... I miss strigi and soprano for example.
Also, i would like to know what i am doing wrong on kdebase, as others seem to be able to compile it without problems...

Kermit: yes, i'll try and build it today.
funkyou: you're using a very old svn checkout. did you try using versionpkg instead of makepkg? And you should be able to use strigi/soprano svn pkgbuilds in AUR.

I am using versionpkg since the first try and it fetches everything correctly. I have the strigi/soprano PKGBUILDs from AUR, i just though you changed something, so i asked about them
Also, your PKGBUILDs are not for the SVN version but for the 3.91 snapshots, so versionpkg is needless anyway with them.
I have this problem with the latest svn checkouts from trunk since several days... The last one i tried was revision 686171 from today. Here are the PKGBUILDs i am using: kde4.tar.gz

so did the error come from the -svn pkgs? if so, try removing the svn checkout and re-check out. I remember this error, it should have been fixed in svn. Worst case scenario, edit the CMakeLists.txt and comment out the docs dir.

Yes, i am using the KDE4 svn PKGBUILDs from AUR. They checkout the latest version from trunk.

Already tried that several times, but no go.

I'll try that now, thanks for the hint.

kde4 for x86_64 now updated. same rules apply, remove kde4-svn completely then pacman -S kde4.
Let me know if anything's broken, i'll fix it when i wake up.

HI,
What's the status of the KDE4 repo now? Is KDE4-SVN more up-to-date than KDE4?
I installed KDE4 on a fresh ARch partition. It keeps complaining about mime types when I use Dolphin. What should I install to fix this?
Thanks,
Jim

stick to kde4-alph2. svn version doesn't have anything new in it yet as most good stuff is still in playground and is yet to be merged. svn version is also incompatible with alpha2 because of changes in kdelibs.

Where is the repo for kde4-alph2?
