I have installed jre, but firefox still wants a java plugin. It doesn't see that jre is installed. I don't have a javaplugin file. I symlinked javalib.so to firefox/plugins, but still no effects. Anybody knows how can I fix the problem?
Oh yeah, And I'm running arch64.

There is no browserplugin for Sun's JRE on x86_64 linux. They don't ship one, you can although tell konqueror to use the java binary diectly in the "Java & Javascript" sections of it's settings. Other than that, I don't see a way except setting up a i686 chroot.

You would need to install konqueror using pacman. It is the KDE web browser so chances are pacman will want to install a fair number of packages to satisfy dependencies. Once konqueror is installed, my guess is you would run it and open it's settings & look for the Java & Javascript section
Just to clear something up: It's not just 64 bit linux that has no browser plugin for Sun's JRE but also 64 bit Windows & Solaris (which Sun develops!). So it's not just linux being left out in the rain this time!

There is another problem.
Why can't I find Konqueror in the repositories @_@?

Okey thanx. Java works on konqueror, but isn't there any other way to make it work on firefox or Epiphany?
