kdenetwork under gnome

Please,

can you help me?  I have gnome and my LAN doesn't work (workstation under win2000 and I with archlinux).
I have samba, but gnome give me an error: smb client for windows is not activated.

Please, where can I find documents or discussion about LAN under archlinux?

Thanks.
Luca.

PS.
Gnome-sytem-tools doesn't work fine for network.

Re: kdenetwork under gnome

I can't help. I can only say that I ran kppp very well under GNOME.
all the kdenetwork apps should run with zero problems under the GNOME desktop

about specific help on LAN see here:
http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Acc … 20a%20user

but that thinks that you have already succesfully installed & configured SAMBA.
I think that www.tldp.org will help you in this case
