wired router recomendations

Hi!

I have a problem with my old D-Link router and I am looking for buying new one (wired!)
Is the Linksys BEFSR41 good choice? Or Belkin?

Thank in advance....

Re: wired router recomendations

Have you flashed the router with the latest firmware? I've run cheap routers (three wired Origo ASR8400 around 20UKP and one TPlink WR541, 4UKP from Ebay). Those that came with old versions of firmware were flaky but all have been rock solid when flashed.

I've always liked D-Link compared with Linksys in terms of price/features. I've just picked up a dirt cheap Belkin and it's working great so far, but a little limited in terms of options (firewall settings, port forwarding, remote management).

Re: wired router recomendations

if you think you will have any wireless connections in the future, get a router that can be flashed to dd-wrt. i use dd-wrt and it is a dream, never had any problems with it.
