If i have Ifplugd installed, do i need the network deamon?
Offline
I would like to know the answer to this question too if anyone has any ideas.

No, ifplugd is all that's needed. If you have both daemons start up then the network will always be configured, rendering ifplugd moot.

I used both with my laptop; worked quite well, especially when plugging and unplugging ethernet cables often.

Isn't the purpose of ifplugd to only run networking scripts when the computer is actually connected to a network, or am I mistaken?
