git setup

I'm running the frist time into installing git as a server software.

What i want is easy: A setup as pacman uses it - i just have no idea how. I don't think that fs_dav (i think that git uses this for apache) has no similar rules as SVNParentPath. Must i set up git in the apache http directory? I wouldn't hate anything more than that . i'd like the setup like my svn, just instead of /home/svn as /home/git (home has a special reason - my vserver setup and automated backup).

Does anyone know a good documentation about the git setup? It's one of two missing parts for my cute new portal .

Maybe i just ran over the important part in the docs when reading them, but it's already late.
