# abs Connected to cvs.archlinux.org Server message: Unknown collection "core" Skipping collection core/cvs Finished successfullyIt's quite easy to change the configs in /etc/abs. You can copy supfile.arch to supfile.core, change "arch" to "core" (also do the same in supfile.testing) and change arch to core in abs.conf. I deleted /var/abs subdirectories (except local) and run abs. Everything has been recreated nicely.
BTW don't be surprised that *.core file is red in mc :-)
That's exactly what I had done ;-) but for some reason the cvs server couldn't find "core". I just posted to make sure the devs knew about this, which they did according to ise, and not too long after it was fixed and started working fine.

Are we able to reuse the FTP-Installation ISOs now?
Why did the announcement state to not use FTP-Install but Base? Using Base you'd also have to edit the config, or not?
Why are we here? What is the sense of life?

No, ftp-install is still broken and will be until new isos are released.
With the base install cd you install a working version of arch and boot it.
After you have booted your installed arch the first time you can update pacman and edit the pacman.conf and /etc/pacman.d/ so you can continue installing other things.
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Changing pacman.conf is not absolutely necessary. pacman will still work and think that core is called current. We will keep those symlinks for compatibility for a while, so it won't break for now.
