Firstly I end up a little out of my comfort zone with networking.
The problem is as the title, every now and again I'll get a timeout on localhost and my privoxy port. Though what I find strange and perhaps is glaringly obvious to the more knowledgeable this isn't the default privoxy page.
I have a couple of bits could someone perhaps point me in the right direction, please. As the logs aren't helping or I'm looking in the wrong place.
Sometimes I do get the default privoxy page due to dns resolution is there an optimisation I should be using? Now the formatting does strange things take this forum all the colours go, and the table seems stretched, fonts default to a basic font. It seems to happen when privoxy does something I'm just not sure what it is though.
When its not the default privoxy page a refresh eventually works but this seems to be when the formatting goes west.

Can no one point me in the right direction
I've monitored wireshark but to be honest it might as well be hieroglyphs but what I can tell is when it does happen I get lots of syn packets on the localhost. I seem to notice it occurs with syn packets with no window scaling I really haven't got a clue if its related, also the syn packets seem to be 74 bytes seq=0 len=0
I'm presuming these are causing the problem but I'm no closer to narrowing down the problem. Could someone tell me where I should be looking please.

Please post your privoxy config file (strip all empty lines and lines starting with "#" beforehand) and give a concise but detailed description of what happens (eg, "I enter a URL into my browser, I get page XYZ, ...").
