How to remove manual iptables n use guarddog

I configured iptables as described in simple stateful firewall in archwiki, but its a lil complicated for people like me to understand and hence making it difficult to tweak settings as required. So, guarddog seems to be the best firewall for me. I installed it, but how to go from here. Shall I first remove all iptables config files and iptables from rc.conf and then use guarddog. What to put in rc.conf to start firewall at boot, iptables or guarddog.

Re: How to remove manual iptables n use guarddog

Hi
There is already a thread about how to launch Guarddog at start up : http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=30189
in the file '/etc/rc.conf' I have neither iptables nor guarddog in the DAEMON line.
What I present in the thread works for me.
Greetings.

Re: How to remove manual iptables n use guarddog

I think so because the Guarddog GUI will generate its own in the script based on the options chosen.
If you use Guarddog you don't need to follow the Archwiki about the simple stateful firewall.
