I'm having a bit of trouble with x11vnc. Everytime i use it, the screen goes black for a few seconds every few seconds. i start it by:
[notroot@archlinux ~]$ x11vnc -rfbport 5902 -display :0 -noncache
I'm really stuck on this one. I haven't a clue what might be causing this. It worked several months ago, before I switched to ArchLinux from Ubuntu, but i don't recall what version i used. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I tried compiling it from ABS, but it still does the same thing. If i just use a plain vncserver session, it works fine. The problem only occurs with x11vnc.

I had to reinstall Arch due to an unrelated issue, and now x11vnc works fine. I'd sure like to know what the problem was, but I'll just have to add it to the list of unexplained mysteries in computing, I guess.

ok, i had to remark this one unsolved because the problem came back. the good news is, i isolated it as only occurring in KDE. to be more specific, KDEmod. the problem never manifested in XFCE; it only happens when i'm running KDE.
I really need your help, guys. I have absolutely no idea why this could be happening.

Well, the problem has gone away since upgrading to Xorg 7.3. Whatever. I don't care anymore as long as it works. :\
